I was told to use IFOEdit. It allowed me to change the IFO files correctly; however, the VOB files still need to be re-encoded to NTSC format (size and frames-per-second). I'm trying to get to the same answer as yourself.

Keep me in mind,

the easiest way for me to do this is convert the files to an iso and convert them with a program called the avi2dvd it can use CCE to do the encoading but there are also free encoaders that it uses. i think it is a very simple program to use by the way it only uses CCE 2.67 you can get the avi2dvd for free here. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/avi2...

I also have 2 movies with audio and video folders pal format (non-iso image files) so If I use this avi2dvd I can convert the movie from either mpeg to iso or ifo/vob files to iso?

also which would be better running my mpeg movie through dvdlab so I can add chapters or do it befor?

just click dvd mode, browes to where your iso is, open it with avi2dvd and it should walk you through the rest when you click on step two and three. under output click NTSC DVD5 or nine whatever size dvd you want. it uses a third party encoader so you will have to get one.

ok I downloaded CCE v 2.7 and it said CCE found. I went to select the iso file but it doesnt recognize it . its looking for an IFO file not iso.

also I dont see the PAL to NTSC area highlighted so I can check it. only the Palto NTSC is able to be checked..

these are the specs of my PAL format movie.

audio mpeg-1 2 ch

since my iso file wasnt recognized by avi2dvd program I extracted them from my PAL cd I made which plays on my computer. I have the iso and VOB files in one folder.

do i have to convert each file individually? and just do the ifo files?

I got this from the stream file when I loaded the movie into my computer:

0xC0 - Audio - MPEG-1 / 2ch / 48kHz / 20bit / English / LBA: 5 / PTS: 00:00:00.280 / Delay: 0ms
0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 / 720x576 (PAL) / 4:3 / LBA: 1 / PTS: 00:00:00.280 / Delay: 0ms

this program will only work with CCE 2.67 and earlier and i dont know why you cant load your iso in there it always worked for me. another program you can use is dvd santa this is a lot more easy to use just the quality is not as good but it is close maybe you should try that also you dont need a third party encoaer with dvd santa.
