Backing up FFXI: Chains of Promethia

I was wondering if it is possible for a friend to make a backup of Chains of Promethia expansion for Final Fantasy XI that I can use to install to my PS2. I have the PC version of COP, with the registration code and all. I just need the game to install into my ps2 so that I can use the code from the pc version. Is this even possible?
