I am attempting to use ImTOO DVD ripper, and have used it (for a little while) successfully. However, now when I try to use it, I get an error that says DeCSS: Drive may not be unlocked. Please use PowerDVD to unlock the DVD and reload the disc. I tried opening power DVD, but i still get the error again. Please help.
Hi, I also use ImTOO and I got a similar message about DeCSS key on a particular dvd set I was trying to rip(others I had no problem with. I got AnyDVD which unlocks all the protection codes and now I have no problems ripping that particular set. AnyDVD is easy to use, just install it and it automatically removes the protection when you load the dvd and then ImTOO can do it's work. Hope that helps.
If it helps, im using an AMD 3400+, 1 gig of ram, with a SOHW 1673S DVD dual layer drive. Im starting to think my drive is the problem, since i also have problems installing various programs.
Did you build your computer or buy it?
If you bought it did it come with that burner or did you buy it and install it yourself?
Have you tried DVD Decrypter to rip it?

Many packet writers like InCD, Roxio CD Creator, and other proggys including players "attach" a drive and "lock" other apps out. Go to msconfig and shut all like proggys down, Startup - disable all - apply- OK, OK to reboot and try again.
Also check proggys i.e. DVDD. Tools - settings - ISO write tab - uncheck "Lock volume - Exclusive access".
