im not sure wat i need, i want to capture at a higher resolution but my computer wont let me, i use dazzle to capture video, im not sure if i need a new video card or something else and if i get a new video card can i still capture stuff from a vcr? thanks

Get rid of Dazzle. Get WinTV PVR 250. This will allow you to capture at MPEG2 (High, Std or Low) or DVD (high, standard, low).
