I need a capture card, I have been reading to get ideas of what card to buy, The more I read the more confused I get. What is your opinion on card? I don?t want to spend a huge amount of money but also don?t want to get a card and have problems with it. Just want to buy once and have something that works. Thanks for any info.

Also wanted to add that my main need is to convert VHS to dvd. Need to connect to TV.

Why connect to tv? If nesc. then maybe a stand-alone dvd recorder would be your best option.

What are your comp. specs? You leave too many unanswered questions for any opinions.

To do VHS to DVD, AND connect to TV, you need either a cap card and a video card with TV out, or a Hauppauge PVR-350, which does both on one card.
