I got a ps2 version 5/6 and it reads my memorex dvd-r's fine but sometimes it takes another hit at the reset button to make it read the game. I borrowed some games from my friend and they were maxell dvd+r's and they work w/o problems. I heard that for this version of ps2 dvd-r's are the best. Im thinkin of buying verbatims since my memorex dvd-r's give me that lil problem sometimes and its kind've annoying and when i back up a movie on a memorex dvd-r it plays fine on my jvc player but when i try the movie on some other dvd players i get freezing and skipping, Is it the media? i see that memorex is not so good from what ive been reading so if it is what should i buy to play on my ps2 and my dvd player w/o problems? verbatim dvd-r or verbatim dvd+r?

btw, i know that some dvd players dont play dvd-r's, but do they all play dvd+r's? help me out guys which way should i go dvd-r? or dvd+r? thanx!
