how many mbs r in one 4.7 gb disc cuz whenever i use dvd shrink to do a custom file size im always over the 4.7gbs limit so how many mbs are in 4.7gbs

Actually,you can only fit about 4412 mbs onto a standard dvdr.Anything larger,then DVD Shrink will automatically compress it.You lose about .3 of a gig after all the conversions.

In DVD Shrink, I keep my backup target at 4360 mbs.Burning the outer edge of the disc can increase the risk for errors,specially in lower quality media.

What are you trying to backup using DVD Shrink?

Well if you divided 4.7 gig by 1024 you get 4812.8 KB which won't fit on a 4.7 GB disc. The Shrink Default setting is 4464 MB which is 4.359375 GB.
4412MB is 4.30859345 GB

So a 4.7 GB disc actually holds a bit over 4.3 GB

Thats because the correct way to figure KBs, MBs and GBs is like this:

1024 bytes= 1KB X 1024= 1MB X1024= 1GB, using 1024 as the multiplier and not 1000.

1 GB = 1,073,741,824 bytes, so when they are correctly measured you can only get 4.3 gigs on a disc. Measured and calculated the other way (using 1000) you can get 4.7 on a disc.
