I'm having a problem with DVD Decrypter. I'm trying to rip DVD-9 files to my hardrive. I've used it fine to rip DVD-5 files to the hardrive and burn them. But when I try to rip DVD-9 files it randomly deletes or prunes down the file to about 4.4 GB getting rid of chapters and special features. I just bought 9.4 G DVD-Rs to burn complete DVD-9s, so I would really like to decrypt the full DVD-9 file. I changed the settings so that there is no size limit on the file ripped, but now, on every disk once I reach 53% the low disk space error pops up and I have to cancel the burn (there is roughly 15 gigs of space open).
Sounds like ur in file mode with just movie files selected.
Maybe wrong but i have never heard of that problem with dvd decrypter.
Go into settings and file tab,see if just movie is checked if so uncheck and click ok.
Then press ctrl and a it should highlight them all.
Or just press ctrl and a on startup.
By the way where did u get 9.4Gb discs from as I was lead to believe that dvd9 discs are dual layer and r pressed not burned at production.
Unless you have got all the equipment?
I bought a program called DVD Echo, that it turns out is just a bunch of bundled applications, including DVD Decrypter, so I don't know how my version is compared to others (IFOEDit, REMPEG etc. are also included).
I've been trying all day with little success on ripping to my hardrive. I'm going to mess with some of the options. Initially I thought I was ripped 6 or 7 Gig disks into 4 Gig files, until I watched them and saw random things were missing (one disk included a slide show, but cut out the last 3 chapters etc.)
I bought the disks from meritline.com. They assured me I could burn up to 9.4 GB on the disks. They are dual-sided. I'm assuming you have to just flip them. DVD-9s I believe are dual-layered, which means you don't have to flip them and they carry all that info.
Is the website. I searched through google looking for a program to burn DVDs directly because I've had some problems with DVD X Copy and came up with this. It's 34.95, and I already had most of the programs downloaded (I don't think there is any mention of this on the website).
I think I figured out the problem, I have a FAT32 file system and I'm currently converting it to a FTPS system, it's quicker and runs better on XP and allows for files over 4 Gigs.
I am using ME with fat32 and have no problems ripping dvd9's at all using dvd decryptor or smartripper.
The fat32 relates to seperate files, vobs on dvd's r usually 1Gb(1,048,000).
Folders will contain >4Gb aswell.
Anyway if you have sorted the problem Great.
