ps2 with EZI pro disk just spins and spins but never boots

well, just recently installed the DMS4 EZI pro in my ver 5 a few weeks back. I was going to flash toxicos 0.3 and it would just spin and spin (in fact it spun faster than ever before...sounded like it would have taken off in flight if i hadn't shut it off.)

the ps2 will boot to where i have access to my mem cards, but never sees the disk. i've tried multiple ps2 game disks, the toxic flash cdr, hdloader cdr (the cdrs are the ones that spin ultra fast, NOT the game disks). and a couple dvd movies. nothing works.

i also used some can air to blow the disk drive out (worked in the past when laser was dirty).

any ideas?
