I recently purchased a spider v1.1 modchip from xbox-mods.com. After many hardships, and one weekend, I finally figured out how to install the chip. It turned out to be an obvisious solution, glue! Once the chip was installed I soon bought an 80gb hard drive (I was informed that this wouold be necessary to hold all the chip's bios information). I upon installing the hard drive I stupidly dropped the old hard drive onto the motherboard. Although the hard drive was fine, the motherboard suffered a fatal blow. My xbox was and is dead. after a week of loothing I'm ready to give up and get rid of it. I heard you can buy a new motherboard from ebay, however a modded xbox is no longer my dream. This leaves me with a two week old spider v1.1 modchip and brand new 80gb hard drive on my hands with absolutely nothing to do with it. I don't expect to get what I paid for, but I'd like to get a few bucks to pay for the purchase of a new motherboard. In total this pair costs about $100 new.
