studio plus9 vcr to dvd previewing problem

I am using Pinnacle Studio Plus 9 with the movie box. I have the vcr connected. In studio I can preview the tape but the pix is not correct. It has several rolls and each roll moves differently. Causing the pix not to be right. The sound is correct. I installed the usb2 and updated my video card as pinnacle said to do. Can anyone help?
