disc inserted not a valid playstation2 disc

I'm trying to put the games in my harddrive, and i get that error message "disc inserted not a valid playstation2 disc" when I try to convert it. The games is a compact disc games not a dvd games, and the title is madden 2002 for playstation 2. I have HD advance for cd and dvd version. i try both and still getting same error message. I try other compact disc games for playstation and still getting same error. when i load my hd advance cd version, the dvd games also show up. are they suppose to show up too? I can convert dvd games fine with no problem.

Are the PS2 cd games originals or backups?

Ps2 cd games are original. I read here on this forum that you can use winHIIP and i did that and now my hd advance not detecting my harddrive. I try a different harddrive and it detects it.
