Hello, I bought a faulty ps2 chipped with messiah 2 from ebay, it had a disc read error problem. Its a V7, over the past 3 weeks I have bought 3 different lasers for it (All HD7s) because when I try to play games on it the video is jumpy and games take ages to load (also makes a funny noise like the disc is slowing down then getting faster again) Fifa Street is very unrealiable and takes ages to load, Tiger woods 2005 takes 58 seconds to start but for the same game on a different V7 using Swap Magic 3.3 takes just 18 seconds, same with Fifa street, it loads up on the chipped ps2 in over a minute and on the swap magic ps2 it takes just 20 seconds, it isn't just these games its all my backedup games I have adjusted the cog for the height of the laser countless times, in all different directions, all my discs are on quality -r media and have been burned at slow speed, I really don't know what to do. Does anyone have any ideas?

yea try a bad flash job on the mod chip it sounds like your mod chip is causing hell to your ps2

here is what you need to do first you need your model number

if you have a model number scph 30001 threw scph 40001 v2 r1 then i cannot help you most of the mod chips in these conaoles cause major problems like lag laser burn out laser read errors

just really big messes

so basicly after all of that here is what you do reflash the mod chip with a new bios there where several version's of sony's bios that are floating around on the internet that where beta versions that cause hell to anyone who tryed to use them i know i have had to fix 55 of these in one week due to a crappy mod web page that was selling chips from the u.k preflashed with the beta version bios and selling it as the full bios which it is not

also your disk's must be dvd rom disks not regular cd-r's so you will need a dvd burner

thats all the advice i can give you without being banned so you will have to do reasearch on your own and find out
