xvid color control in win media player

hi

i cannot use the picture controls when i watch xvid movie with windows media player. why is that so?

secondly if xvid codec has its own picture controls then how can i use them while playbacking with windows media player?

There isn't just one xvid codec! there are many of them and some cause problems. Anyway, you shouldn't use winmedia to play xvid!

but which codec do you think i should get and which player i should use to play an xvid file.

one last question that i have is about a movie file that have a name like coolmovie.dvl.avi and each time i try to play it media player gives error. i also tried realplayer and ati media player but non would play the file. do i need a codec and if i do which one should it be?

You should get the xvid codec by vite! and use WinDVD to play em back!

ok i am pretty embaressed to ask this.

i looked for this codec by vite and all the time i land in a site called vidomi or something else. i already spend too much time and my patience has run out. is it possible that you can just give a link for this codec and give me the exact name of the file which i have to downlaod.?
