So I have a XBox modded with Xenium Spice, Evolution X dash, and have established a successful FTP connection. So now that I have all this stuff, is it possible to watch DVD's on the Xbox without buying that DVD pack. Can you just FTP a dvd program like WinDVD and use that to watch videos on the Xbox? Or do I have to purchase a DVD pack? If I can, would you be as kind as to tell me what programs I should use? Thanks.

xbmc works great...there are a couple others that you can use, but i would guess most would say the xbmc is the best...just get a hold of xbmc from the usual places and ftp it to your apps folder.

forgot to mention, you do not need the dvd kit to run movies on xbmc

seagate 300gig hd

Thanks. But where is the apps folder. Should I just create one? And just by FTPing it to a folder, how do install/launch it? Thanks again.
I just noticed that I have no F folder in the ftp program. Is that normal?

i use xbmc also, but you can use an app called dvdx2, you do not need the remote to play dvd. and you can put that in you apps folder.
