i use the program named : VirtualDubMod
open the .ogg or .ogm file
open Stream List (in the Streams tab )
select the subb file ! save it as .srt file for the subb !
( by the Demux button )
then close the streams list window and save the movie !
by going in the " File " tab ! and choose " Save As "
enter the file name ( the name of the video file must be the same then the subb file )
did not check anything !
in the " Video " sector
video mode : direct stream copy
compression : no compression
then save as a .AVI file !! take about 3min and boom that it !!!

So it was an ogm file. As already stated ogg is something else, although ogm was/is based on ogg.
ogg files can only contain Xiph streams, so vorbis, speex, flac or theora.

ogg is Xiph's container and it can only contain Xiph streams. The idea is a completely patent free, opensource, license free multimedia framework. So sticking say XviD (XviD is ASP MPEG-4, something highly patented) video in or worse something completely properitary in is totally against what Xiph is about.
Tobias wanted to use vorbis audio with XviD video so he developed ogm, which is basically ogg extended to contain non Xiph streams. Great idea especially because at the time Xiph didn't have anything close to a working video codec. There is an article somewhere on I think the Xiph site about the whole ogg vs. ogm issue.
Basically ogm can store any video that you can encode via VfW as well as mp3, AC3, AAC, etc. audio and subtitles. Xiph I believe will have their own subtitle format.

Hi guys,
I'm having a similar problem. I dl a tv series and all the files are .ogg. Tried to play in windows media player, and it wouldnt work, there was sound, but no picture.
I was trying to follow what NEMESIS04 was saying, but there is one part that I dont understand what they are talking about, when you go into the Streams List. Not excatly sure what your suppose to do? Are you suppose to save the WAV file as a .srt?
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Lemonade

Hi,
Its not in a rar file, so I dont have to extract anything, right?
I did find one program that will play ogg files, and its called Zoom Player. I guess Zoom had the codecs I needed...but I still would like to burn to a disk, if I could.
And I was going to use Vdubmod to convert it as a AVI file, and then burn with Nero.
