Can you upgrade the Matrix Chip in anyway for V1-V11?

I just wanted to know if you can upgrade a Matrix Infinity chip by software, firmware, ect..? I've got a older PS2 and was just wondering?

you should be able to flash the chip nomatter what version of ps2 it's installed on as it's the chip that needs flashed not the sytem. The latest firmware for it is 1.45 (just came out yesterday may 5th 2005) you can go to http://www.infinitymod.com/cgi-bin/matrix/site.pl?page=infinity_software to grab it and read more about it.
