Hii all,

As you know we have some problems about God of war, devil may cry3, Shadow of rome.I have tried lots of way that you have written here.But still i cannot play these games.I have tried to record 10 or 12 dvds.My results are below.

1.God of war: Same place (Freeze).(i have downloaded different files from emule)(Nothing is changed)
2.Devil may cry: Same place.Freeze.(i have downloaded different files
from emule)(Nothing is changed)
3.Shadow of Rome : Same place.Freeze.(i have downloaded different files from emule)(Nothing is changed)

But the important point is;

I have SPCH50004 with modchip.I think messiah.Until these games i have never seen any problem with games.But i cant play these games.Anyway, 2 week ago i bought a new PS2 (slim) which is SPCH70004 for my older brother.(its already modchipped but i dont know which one)You can guess all of these games are working with his PS2.I can start these games like you.But they are freezing at any place which exactly movie scene.
Also i have used different brand name of blank dvds.But result was same.If you ask me dvd doesnt matter.Because i used the cheapest and the most expensive dvd in my country.

So, what do you think about my ideas.Lastly sorry for my english if i couldnt write clearly.

y don't u try to obtain the original game legally somehow then back it up. That way u will save money on not wasting those 10-12 discs and definitely time since u dont have to wait for the download to complete.

Everybody has a modchip or they use loader or etc.It is illegal too.If you have original games.Why you are backing it up.Use your original games.(If you give your backed up game to your friend,this is illegal too) When you finish the game, probably you won't play it again.When you back it up you will be spend your money too.

Hey Max, maybe what cuteperv is trying to say is try r3ntIn9 one of those and back that up to see if you still get the same freezing point. Of course destroy the backup when you're done with it. B^}

i really does hope this helps you guys...

at first, i've tried everything from rebuilding the iso, and changing the dummy file to 1kb...but to no avail, i always ended up with 'not a valid ps2 game' on my swapmagic 3.6; However, i tried to patch the game, and to my amazement..it worked!

this is how you do it.

1. Use DVD Decrypter to create an iso image.
2. Use the patch for shadow of rome. You can find it at www.ps2nfo.com
(to apply the patch, you use a program called ppf-o-matic 3.0)
3. Use DVD Decrypter to burn the image after the patch is installed

walaa...you have successfully made a back up copy of shadow of rome
