I have search around for this thread but could not get a definite answer.

Just like everybody else I am lookin for a bulk DVD-R's thats compatible to my burner to make backups of my home DVD movies that will work on most DVD players and with w/good quality.

According to another thread there was a site listed as http://www.cdrdvdrmedia.com/. They offer a brand called Accu DVD-R Generic for a good price but doesn't really tell me if its good for backing up my home movies. Although it does say compatatible to DRU500A.

Any suggestions and links to the best and Cheapest Bulk of DVR-R's would be appreciated.

lookin for 2x burn on upgraded firmware 1.f

I've been using Ritek 1x media and they work on my Apex 3201 dvd player. However, I do have mixed results on my Playstation 2 (some skipping issues). I bought 25 Riteks for $28 in a cake box from allmediaoutlet.com, not a bad price.

I alway purchase from
http://www.supermediastore.com/dvdmedia.html

They have almost every 2x, 4X DVD-R and DVD+R Media, love their price. 2.4x DVD+RW only $1.99 each for 100 pack in jewel case
All of them are good for Sony Dru500a

mliu...

I have seen this same post by you numerous other places. Are you a genuine user that has tested ALL the brands they sell at this company or are you just generating business for yourself?

Best Buy's website (not in stores) has a Verbatim 50 pack of 4x DVD+R for $100 (=$2ea). I have burned a lot of backups (data & video) using Verbatim on my Sony DRU 500A with no problems (Windows XP). For those of you who have installed the firmware update, these will be faster than the 2.4x commonly available, and the price isn't bad. They also provide free (but slow) shipping.

(And although I wish I owned a lot of their stock, alas, I don't.) Burn baby burn!

Accu DVD-Rs work perfect for me. I have ordered from cddvrmedia.com and was very impressed. They shipped quickly and I paid less than 50 bucks for 50. I have not made any coasters yet and have backed up about 46 movies. They do write at 2X with the firmware upgrade. Time to order more! I have a JVC XV-S300 DVD Player, Mintek 1600, a phillips 825 (old) and have had no problems. I can not get anything to play in my Playstation 2. Maybe because I have one of the first ones shipped to the US? tried memorex+/-, verbatim +, accu- and still no luck. I use DVD Decrypter, IFOEDIT, Nero 5.5.10 or Smartripper, Rempeg2, IFOEDIT and NERO 5..5.10.
