Hi there...

I'd like to buy a not too sophisticated Camcorder for getting those precious moments of my oncoming child.

I am a complete ignorant on this subject and browsing in CircuitCity I've found that in MiniDV (the standard of today I've been told) the bestseller is the DCR-HC21

Can you guys recommend it? How do you transfer the data to your PC? I've no firewire port. Can I use this camcorder as a "bridge" and transfer my old movies in VHS to the PC?

Thnx for your feedback as usual!
