I've just gotta laptop & tried to backup Dawn of the Dead. Using Alcohol 120%, I got 8 files that are 5.95GB. My blank DVDs say 4.7 GB. When the software failed to copy the film I thought I'd better see if anyone knows how you can squeeze 5.95 onto 4.7.

I tried Clone CD - same problem.

DVD Decryptor - ??? got loads of files in the right Windows and then not sure what to do (no help files).

Do I need larger capacity DVDs? I remember backing up PS2 stuff with litle difficulty using Nero (but they were just regular CDs).

Is it just me - or is this DVD copying a ball ache.

The program you are after is called DVD Shrink. It will compress to fit a 4.7Gb(4.37) disc. Get it here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm
