I burn't my DVD fine with DVDshrink/Nero. Just like the last couple I have done though, the DVD works fine in my 2 DVD players but it skips in my laptop.

The skipping is pretty awful. It starts fine then say in a 30 minuite episode, I get to see about 1 minute's worth.

I assume its the hardware on my laptop??

Thanks in advance,
Alex

What software are you using to play dvd movie on laptop? Sounds like Windows Media Player. Try WinDvd or PowerDvd.

I use Intervideo WinDVD as the player.

your problem seems to point to hardware issues with your laptop. if the movies play fine on your 2 standalones as well as your desktop pc, good chance that the hardware is failing in your laptop. windvd is an excellent player, perhaps it's time for a new dvd-rom/drive for your lappy~ :)

I hope not..its a brand new laptop I purchased the other week. Other DVD's play fine...its just the burnt DVD's that aren't playing well on it.

Reinstall WinDVD. If that does not fix it find out what kind of DVD-Rom drive is in laptop and update the firmware. Try +/-R disks in laptop. Maybe it likes one over the other which I would find highly unusuall. Are you burning on laptop? May be some new hardware encryption on laptop.

Good Luck
