I am Rohit and i have installed EA Games NFS Underground 2
A PC game and not on DVD i am running it on a CD-ROM
1. the CD is not original ,i have copied it frm a friend.
2. i first tried to copy it directly ,but was unable then i backed up it's CD.02 .now when i try to play am unable. it asks for the correct Cd Rom .
Now i know its difficult but anyone could help --- then pls!!
i don know if any of the softwares like SECUROM or Alcohol 120 or somehting

This should be in the "PS2 software boot" forum, perhaps, you might want to go in there, ask this question and you'll be surprise to find the answer. There are a lot of game experts in that forum. As far as I know and in order for you to play a backed up PS2 games properly, your PS2 console needs to have some after market modifications i.e. "Modchip, FLip Top, etc. and Swap Magic cd/dvd boot Disc." Matter of fact, I've just recently converted my version9 PS2 into a Flip Top with Swap Magic 3.6 Plus and happily with the results afterall.
In addendum to "NSU2", this, I did a backed up with Nero on Copy DVD with a Maxell DVD-R 8X and I'm playing it flawlessly now. If the backed up copy you have is a cd-rom disc, then I think you might need Swap Magic 3.6 plus CD boot disc to boot it up. Hope this give you a hint.

Topic is a bit old and there is prolly a solution now, but if not why don't you just copy the discs and, install the game, install 1.2 patch and then nocd crack?
I don't understand why peeps want a perfect 1:1 copy, why tool around with discs if you don't need to... unless you're trying to sell them as retail, lol.
I'm going to copy this now, cd version and see if it still works with the nocd.
And alkohol, you might want to ease up on whatever it is you're on, lol :)

So we don't have to tool around with nocd cracks if we don't have to. Some of us like the satisfaction in making something as near perfect as we can. There's nothing like having a copy that works exactly as the original - the only true way to protect your investment.
This is also the second thread I've seen recommending nocd cracks which is very much against forum rules.
