Info Request: Editing Slus/Elf files PS2 Games

Preemptive ramble: If this is already posted somewhere please post a link to the topic... I did search but I might not have the approiate lingo for what I am trying to do here. I tried searching for slus and elf editing.

Okay, in a nutshell... Using PS2Dis gives you a "readable" instruction set for the slus file. now I can edit this all day, how does one go about saving it back into the slus format? and replacing it on the game iso... wait a minute, I know how to replace the file and burn a new backup disk, I just need to edit the slus file with something more intelligent than a hex editor.

I don't have to stick with PS2Dis, If someone tells me of a program that can edit slus files directly (in a manner like PS2Dis) I will use it.

The reason for this is I have a few uh ... "redirected event function calls" I would like to make permanent without using a cheating device, I would like to permanently implement them into the game by modding the slus file.

The potential for this is driving me nuts, thanks in advance for anyhelp.
