Any one know if double layer dvd's work in the ps2 ?

I am having problems with my double layer dvd's running in my ps2.
I don't know if it's my burner or just the ps2.
Can any one help me?

I am using swap magic 3.3

PS2's cannot read burnt dual layer disks unless you have applied the toxic patch to it. Not sure if this works with swap magic. You could need a modchip.

Yes you would need a modchip for sure, swap magic won't do it.
The ToxicOS v0.3 Flash is for the DMS4 Pro chip and will play dual layer backups. A toxic patch can not be applied to your PS2.

there has been a patch made now?? i didnt think it possible as the ps2 reads the first layer from in to out then the second layer from out to in.. and dual layer burners burn in to out on both layers only... or am i simply missing something here??

You are just misreading my post. There is not a patch for the PS2, i just used wrong terms. It is a ToxicOS flash for the DMS4 Pro chip that will play dual layer backups on your PS2
