Help with accessing Kyocera Se47 with Mobile Phone Tools V.3.11

I have the Kyocera Se47 Slider Model, and have been trying to put a photo of my children on it for a wallpaper. Anyway, for some reason it will not access my phone. It tries like heck, but it just won't connect. I was told to use the software as follows.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.
