Problem Frameserving to MainConcept

I'm having problems frameserving to MainConcept from VirtualDub. Everytime I preview the video all I get is a green screen. Here are the steps I'm taking:

I load the avi into VirtualDub choose video-filters-then resize, I resize to 720x480 and click add borders (the original is 624x352), I then start the frameserver and open MainConcept - I choose DVD NTSC - elementary video, 23.976 with 3:2 pulldown.

Also it puts out an .mpv file when I choose elementary video which PowerDVD will not play. If I choose program video it will put out a .m2v file which PowerDVD will play - what is the difference between program and elementary? Ive also tried to rename the file to .m2v with no success.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
