I used film machine like you suggested, and it worked. finally after all this time ive been messing around with trying to burn a .AVI with AC3 audio it finally worked!! thanks for the advice. i do have one question tho. when i first used film machine i tested it by converting the small sample video clip of the movie, and after it got done encoding everything it burned the movie onto my dvd , however, when i went back and encoded the entire full length movie it stopped at the point where it said it was creating the isotree and never burned the dvd, which is no big deal i just used Nero to burn all the files it created, but is there anyreason why it didnt burn using film machine? here is the log from film machine if you can figure anything out.

i used it again and it copied it with no problem this time. just out of curiousity, is it normal to take 4 hours to do this whole process using film machine? cause when i was using dvd santa it would only take a little over an hour.

hi

have you files from santa and film machine to see the difference?

it will take time for encodes of very good quailty, what encoder did you use?

my personal experience with santa yeilded bad qualty compared to alot of apps you could use (i have used), i dumped that app....

but rule of thumb 1 hour gets so so movie, 4 hours gets good movie

also speed depends on your pc specs and the encoder used!

it took 4 hours using the film machine with the CCE encoder and my pc is a gateway pent.4/3ghz/hyperthreading/200gb/500mbram.and in the option setup in film machine i had it set to make 2 passes with the encoding. about how much faster would the whole process be if you only make 1 pass? and how much picture quality would you sacrifice?

hi

how big was the AVI file?

the 2 pass is really 3, the first is it analyzing the file, so if you did 1 pass it would read twice! if you follow?

the 2nd 3rd is shorter than first! 2 pass is good, i have done 1 pass and its been ok but the time doesnt get that much better!

what version CCE? try useing different ones! some use cce 250 and say its best? not sure...

but please if you try others let me know thank you!

Nothing here to see, move along folks.
