SwapMagic Problems...please help!

I just installed a fliptop into my ps2, and I recieved SwapMagic 3.6 with it. I have downloaded a couple games and burned them to DVD to try to play them. However, whenever I try to load one of the games, the ps2 will make a sort of grinding sound (which it never does for the actual SwapMagic 3.6 discs), and then display "Not a valid PS2 disc". I have tried both the games, with Normal and Special boot. I've tried 3 seperate import games that are the originals. I have tried 2 burned ps1 games which worked back in the days of PS-Xchange. I am at my rope's end. I've scoured forums looking for answers and found none.

Did I do something wrong, or did I just get bad discs, or what? Someone, please help!!

Backup games you legally own.
No one (here) is going to help you with downloaded pirated material.
This is my one and only exception.

Swap magic does NOT load ps1 games.
Use better media. Cheap media does NOT work with the ps2.
Burn at 2x speed (MAX).

Almost flawless burns with 95-100% reliable results:

MXLRG01, MXLRG02 = Maxell = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
MCC = Mitsubishi Chemicals = (-R)<-----------------VERBATIM MY CHOICE #1
TDKG02 = TDK Corp = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
TAIYOYUDEN or YUDEN = Taiyo Yuden = (-R)<--------------FUJIFILM (made in japan) MY CHOICE #2
