Guys after reading some of the guides I'm still a bit confused on how to get movies from dual layer disks to singles.

I've been using DVD Decrypter & Clone DVD2.

I would prefer to have the movie on one disk and therefore an prepared to sacrifice the extra content to make it fit but lately I do not seem to be having much luck.

I know how to remove extra features, menus and audio but how do you tell which audio to remove. The last couple of movies I have done I have tried all audio tracks till one works only to find it is the directors comments or naration for the visually impared or something like that. I sthere some way to preview the track you are removing or preview the movie before you write it. With CLoneDVD2 you seem to have to go all the way through to the sourcing data and it only tells you it's too big just before it goes to write it then you haev to start again.

Help please.

Would suggest trying DVD Shrink - it allows you to reauthor to get rid of unwanted extras, languages, audio etc.

Plenty of guides available from Guides section on this site.

While Shrink rips, its main function is to compress. As it has not been updated for a while (and possibly will not be) it does have some problems with more recent movies with newer protections.

For these type movies, use latest version of DVD Decrypter to rip and use DVD Shrink to compress.

DVD Shrink does not burn in it's own right but can use a program such as Nero to burn.

Thanks I'll have a look. Like I said I know how to remove stuff via Clone DVD but it doesn't seem you can preview what you are removing. If this is a function of DVD Shrink then that's what I'm looking for somethign that will give you a sample of what you are removing or for that matter leaving in so you don't get the wrong audio as teh onyl measn of fitting it.
