50 pck dvd-r printables i buy are unwritable

i go and buy a pack of ten dvd-r and it works when i burn a movie on it in nero, but when i bought two different large packs of dvd-r printables, nero will tell me its unwritable. why? is there a way i have to change the dvd properties? please help me.

download dvd identifier and scan your discs to find out the media code. then scan the ones that worked okay. You will probably find that your pack of 50 are made by some rubbish company in woopwoop. Try to buy media made in japan and branded taioyuden (sp) verbatim metal azo, or ritek and try again
Also without telling us your burner model # or media code (use dvd identifier to find out) we cant help you further
