Ive been having problems with my burner (see the dvd r drives section) and I was wondering was it me or does the ps2 not read TDK 8x disc...

what is it's media id? i'm pretty sure it's cmc mag which suck for ps2 games.

i havent had any problems with tdk dvd-r's, i burnder through 75 of em, moslty ps2 games, and never had them not read

I use TDK 4X DVD-R some times and they work just fine. Never tried the 8X
The 8X i use are Phillips DVD-R and they are top notch. Never had a bad burn on a Phillips disc yet and have used 50-75 of them.

My version 9 PAL PS2 plays tdk X4 and x8 Dvd-r or dvd+r burned at x1 or x4 respectivly.
