the general size of a 4.7 gig disc will only allow you to burn to 4.38 gig of it.To get your 5.34 gig to a disc you will need to use compression.

I suggest you get rid of roxio, the software suxs.(it conflicts with heaps of programs)

For starters when you convert your AVI to mpeg 2 , try using vso divx to dvd. This program is currently free and you can download it from the software section of AD.Divx to dvd can convert your avi/xvid/divx/mpeg1 and mpeg 2 to mpeg2 compatible format.

The conversion on a 700meg AVI file takes roughly an hour.Once the file is encoded it is relatively simple to use Nero ,prefferably Nero recode to get your project to disc. However that is not the only option, you also can choose to re author your project with maybe TMPGEnc dvd author. You will be able to add menus, edit your files etc before you utilise your burning agent (i have nero) to then burn to disc.

You can or run them through divx to dvd as well and then just add each individual file until the disc is full with your TMPGEnc dvd author.
