Hey, I know there's various programs out there to copy DVDs but can anyone tell me which is clearly the better choice to copy DVDs, especially ones that I need to shrink to burn onto a normal DVD.

Try two free programs DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. There are guides available to help you use the programs.

Clearly the best dvd copy software is DVD Decrypter (free)dvdrebuilder (free) and CCE basic ($58 US). RB/CCE doesn't have all the bells and whisles that shrink does [unless you get the pro version of rebuilder (requires a $10 donation)], but is superior vidio reproduction quality wise especially for high compression projects.
