V7 laser diode fix

Hi,

couldn't find this through search.. sorry if it's been answered before.
My V7 is ready for the Infinity laser fix, but I can't find the location for the wires; the instruction are for a V12 only.

Do I need it?
And does anyone have a pic or a diagram of where to attach the wires?
