slim tool and opening console front

Hi,

I recently brought slim tool and upon reading the instructions it says i need the console front view opened, even though it says its plug and play! However, does anyone know how to open the console front view so I can see inside ( i think) and place the three tiny parts.

Thanks in advance, and seems a great forum as well!

I just pulled it off :) I think if you turn the ps2 upside down when the tray is out then you should see a screw if you unscrew it a bit the front thingy should just pop off.

HI, I don't think this is the right answer. I think your refering to the thing on the front of the front of the tray with the ps2 logo which you can turn around. I think for the slim tool the front view needs to be opened. On the picture I have it shows the inside of the ps2 with the laser I think.

Does anybody have any ideas. OK thanks
