I have been using ritek 05 with no problems at all, but when i first started doing backups i was using piodata and at first they worked fine, but after about 2 months my ps2 could not read them anymore my pc could read them fine but not my ps2. So since then i have been using ritek (which are cheaper). A close friend of mine has been using tuffdiscs he has only been doing backups for about 6 weeks and he said "no these are fine I haven`t had any problems with these" after I told him what had happened to me, I don`t think he believed me.
There are two question I would like to ask
1. Has anyone had this experience? where discs worked for a while and then stopped working although the data was still on the disc.
2. Has anyone had some longer experience with tuffdiscs? Because I have no objection to using tuffdiscsas they are extremely cheap but I don`t really like wasting my time.

if you use cheao disc's the dye will fade after a few months or so,leaving the dvd usless.
so the lesson here is,dont use dvd's with a poor quality dye,the deeper the purple, the better.
ritek go4/05 is a good dye
