My friend gave me his old GameCube that died a couple days ago. I'm going to try and fix it, but in my tests, I've discovered that the disc is not spinning (put a disk in right side up, turn it on, then wait for the GameCube menu to come up, and turn it off, open the drive, and the disk was still facing up. Now unless it's coincidence that it did that about 5 times, I say it isn't spinning). However you can hear the lazer seeking. I'm going to safely assume that the motor is busted or that there's a solder off.

Any ideas, tips, or comments? I recently ordered a case opening thingy.
