HI, I'VE RECENTLY GOT INTO BURNING DOWNLOADED PS2 GAMES AND WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM THE FORUM I'VE HAD A GOOD SUCCESS RATE. HOWEVER, ONE GAME HAS ME PUZZLED - IT'S CALLED 7 SINS AND IS A DVDRIP. I'VE UNPACKED THE RAR FILE AS USUAL USING WINRAR BUT INSTEAD OF THE USUAL ISO FILE I'M LEFT WITH A CUE FILE AND A BIN FILE. I'VE TRIED USING DVD DECRYPTER AND NERO TO BURN A DISC (I'VE EVEN TRIED USING CDR DISCS AS WELL AS DVDR) BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO GET ME TO THE POINT OF HAVING A USABLE GAME. I AM USUALLY ABLE TO BOOT ANY BACKUP GAME WITH SWAP MAGIC.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

first off, caps is considered shouting!!!
and second,it needs burning to a cd disk,not dvd.its under 700 mb
and thirdly,if you are booting cd's,you need to use the cd swapmagic disk,
and btw,you burn the cue file, with alcohol 120
use the ps2 forum next time

Hey there,
I have had the exact same problem with the exact same game, using swap magic. I tried dvd+/-r, cdrw, cdr, i tried with the bin and cue file, just the bin file, converted it to a iso, nothing is working for this game at all, i think you said to only burn the .cue file, but it's only 86kb, and the bin file is over 500mb, i am very confused, if anyone can help it would be awesome, (used Nero and alcohol)
HELP PLEASE!!!!

the cue acts like feeder for the bin file
just select the cue file,
and burn it to a cd
why you would try and convert it to a iso is beyond me,
there is just no need

Looks like this should be in the PS2 DVD or CD back up forum. Perhaps you should asked this in there and hopefully someone will be able to help you better. Getting back to your question now, I think you may need Nero, isobuster or cdvdgen to do the task. Why don't you use the search, it's pretty useful sometimes.

I'm facing the same problems as the topic poster except it's a codebreaker. I have a ccd file, img file, and a sub file instead. IS the method for burning pretty much the same?

Hey, thanks for the help guys, but i actually just gave up on it, there was no way that particular game was working for me, i tried every possible combination using everything from dvds to cds, Nero to alcohol, bin, cue, converting it to iso (because nothing was working, but thanks for the help hursty, "why you would try and convert it to a iso is beyond me") burning the cue file helped about as much as converting it to iso. I appreciate everyones help on this, good gaming to all, and sorry about not posting it on the ps2 forum, i found this one in a google search, my bad!
Peace out playas

Its a DVD-rip
Try refreshing the TOC with cd-loader or dvd\loader
(depending on your ver ps2).
Most Dvd to CD rips need a TOC refresh to boot with swap magic.
http://www.swapmagicfix.com good luck
Might I add Just got through watching Judgement day And all
I can say is WOW!!!

Well burning .rar files to your dvd will give you a useless dataDvd.
If you want a game to play, you need to unRar the files. Basically just right-click on the first one in the series (xxx.000 or xxx.001 usually) and choose 'Extract Here'. This should extract whatever is inside to the current location.
I guess hopefully, you get an .iso file out of those Rar files. With that, you could use 'Dvd Decrypter' (my top choice, downloadable from AD) to burn the .iso image file to dvdr.
If you want, I would imagine Roxio can burn the .iso image to dvdr for you as well.

Usually when you unpack a RAR file you get an .iso image or a bin/cue file. I have so far only had one file which didn't work no matter what i tried. Normally i if it's an .iso file i just go into Nero Ultra 6 and select "burn image to disc" and burn it on, then use Swap magic to play it on my PS2. if it's a bic/cue file i just use Alcohol 120 and select the file to burn. I have a HP dvd420i burner, and i have been using ben-q dvd+r media to burn onto. Seems to be working great and i have had no problems up to and after the one i stated earlier in this post!
Good gaming
