Have HDAdvance - able to run ExecFTPS or other FTP server directly from hard drive?

...i.e. not using Exploit or Memory Card or PS1 games.

Can anyone help me out with this please? I have been following the tutorials and am sure I have set up the all the files correctly, modified the config file to match my PS2 ip address, put the LBA to 12231 in CDGenPS2 etc, etc and created good images which went to the PS hard drive with WinHIIP. However, it only partly loads after booting from HDAdvance and I read that ExecFTPS amy have problems with HDAdvance partitions (I dunno).

Also curious about the path being cdrom0:\execftps.elf in the System.cnf file when running from HD - should it be hdd0:\....)

I looked at HDL Dump server (hdld_svr.elf) but it looks like it needs amendment to an IPConfig file....on the memory card..which brings us back to Exploit and PS1 games which my console can't read (all other CD & DVD OK for some reason).

Is there anything that will just run off the HDD with retail HDAdvance(after 'WinHIIPing' it)?

Sorry if this has come up before - I couldn't find anything outside all the MC Exploit tutorials.
