ok i have been backing up all my dvds for a while now, but now that i am going back and trying to watch them i am running into some problems.... like with blade trinty....i burned itand then was half way through the movie when the dvd player couldn't read anymore of it, so i in turn tried to play it on my playstation 2 and still nothing.... that movie will only play all the way through on the computer, in the same drvie that burned it. now i know this is a little odd because i am using sony dvd-r so shouldn't they play on the playstation 2? again...trying to watch a movie today on the playstation and it will freeze up and then jump to the next scene. i am using dvd shrink and dvd decrypter. any input would be nice....all the movies play just fine on the computer

Hi elixir66,

It sounds like you haven't bothered to follow anyone's guide. I suggest you check the guide in my sig and re-set everything just as if you were starting out from scratch.

Adjusting The settings in Shrink and backing down on your burning speed to 4X and you should have no problem.

Cheers,

Pete

i agree with scubapete although it could be that your original discs are dirty or scratched etc therefore shrink/decrypter will have a harder job to retrieve the info it needs and if it doesnt get that info correctly it will result in errors on your burned copy. some other possible probs are that you have a faulty batch of discs, your burner is wearing out, or your players may need a firmware upgrade. hope this helps. post back with more info if you like.
