Any one who can guide me to successfully copy a DVD that I have finalized on Liteon 5005 DVD Recorder. I recorded about 5 videos from my Camcorder to a DVD-R on Liteon 5005 DVD recorder. Finalized it and that DVD plays fine on most DVD players. Now I wish to make a copy of that finalized DVD to share it with family and friends but have wasted atleast 10 DVDS. I tried DVD Decrypter, copying it to the hard drive and then burning it using Roxio. I even tried using some of the guides on this website but have found no success. Can any one help !

hi

i would of said iso read / iso write with DVD Decrypter! did you do it this way? or was it file mode?

also is your liteon a stand alone recorder? dont these record in -VR or +VR one is open for more files and one is closed?

for testing rip the dvd in iso mode and load to DVD Shrink (see if it loads ok?)

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Hi ykuspatel Hey Rotary :)
I googled your make, and model number, so you do have a recorder standalone.
The thing that throws me off about your problem is, when you say that your recording in the VR mode, and then you say it plays in most dvd standalones. If you are indeed, recording in the VR mode,it usually isnt compatible in most standalones.Your dvd needs to be converted in the video mode,to play in most standalones.
You can do that with nero,I wouldnt know about roxio, it causes conflicts with several burning programs, especially nero,so I dont have it.I use ulead dvd movie factory to convert VR mode dvd's.
Your main problem could be getting your rom drive, or your burner, to even recognize dvd's recorded in the VR mode.
My dvd rom drive wont recognize them, but my burner drive does.
If you have either nero, or ulead, then I can help walk you through the process.
If you decide to get nero, then you need to make sure you get rid of roxio completely.
good luck
