Have used dvd skrink for sometime quite successfully until recently and now everytime it gets to the encoding it freezes cant do anything because nothing works not even the mouse only thing to do is switch the machine off remember I am a newbi and thick so please help

You will probably need to submit a bit more information to get to the bottom of this. If you have been using it successfully has anything changed in between your successful projects and the lock-up, have you installed any new apps ect. For now you can try uninstalling Decrypter, defraging you hard drive and re-installing decrypter.

THank's Trom have tried the option's you mentioned no luck am using a freecom classic external usb writer which is a toshiba odd -dvd sd-r5272 by all accounts + a pioneer dvd rom dvd-121 burnt many dvds with these untill lately and the freezing started

Thank's LivnDGirl what sought of name is that had previously reinstalled skrink but did it again no luck read your guide's I told you I was thick no joy there ended up reinstalling my toshiba external and found I could copy by reading and writing solely on the toshiba tried the dvd rom to read later and my freezing returned so I am cooking on gas on the toshiba but have failed miserably in my old set up might give the Ide ATA/ATA controller a bit of uninstalling Thank's again Im going in

Found the solution thank's to Ahab 336 went into the Ide ATA/ATA controller uninstalled the secondary controller in my case rebooted bob's your uncle me old machine back again thank's to everyone that replyed I got there in the end
