I've tried everything. i've gone through the icemonkey tutorial a few times done everything by the book. ive tried setting up a network connection sharing so the gamecube would get a ip from dchp, then i added the pso domans in my hosts file in \system32\drivers\ect\hosts so the connection sharing dns server would forward them to my ip address.

no matter what i do it stops with pso looking for DNS server. ive tried using a hub, and a crossover on two different computers, any chance the BBA doesnt work? i got it used from a game store.

shoot back your ideas please.

and update for anyone that might be able to help...

ive been able to go to the "website" part, that does work. so the broadband adapter works. i dont have pso plus. but in the psul readme there is this...

"There were 2 versions of the American PSO released. Only the newer version of the American PSO - after January or so - will work. It will be fixed in a future version."

ive been told that the version that i am using was bought a very long time ago, perhaps when it first came out? so could anyone help me identify what version im using, or tell me what the marks or ingame que's are to see if its the game that wont work with the online hack?

for anyone who cares, i figured it out, it was the network awareness service for windows, i stopped it and everything ran as it should.
