hey im cac woot :P
question my nieghbor gave me a xbox and it works but, it freezes somtimes and says it cant read some games ut then i hit reset and it does. I m wondering if it needs a lens cleaning(dvdcleaner) so u know a (good) one that could really clean the crap out of my xbox and make it run better.
i hear they got some sort of static clinger thing that traps all the lint dust static etc to the cleanign disk and then the xbox,ps2 etc runs a hell of alot better.
anyone know what im talking about ? if s o hook me up plz

your best bet would be to just buy a new dvdrom...i have bought a couple off of ebay for far less than what modshops charge for them...you prolly have a thomson in there now, and those are just junk, the phillips and the samsung are the better drives for the xbox...but you can try to clean the lens, you are prolly better off just trying to find a new dvdrom.

k ya cause the disks thatcant be read are brand new lol. How do i go about installing a new dvdrom? Also, could someone give me a link to some on ebay? And which are good and will last.
