I bought a epson printer today..i see that fuji now makes printable media but it also says "made in Taiwan"..My question is,is there any printable media thats made in Japan...or something simliar???

if it's printable TY's you are looking for and don't restrain yourself to only purchasing local media, then you get can the exact same TYs w/ inkjet printable surface from the usual places people recommend: supermediastore,meritline,rima,allmediaoutlet, etc. online.

but, if you are only willing to buy locally, then so far, i have yet to see the fuji inkjet printables available MIJ locally~

i use a LOT of the fujifilm dvd+r 8x MIJ bought locally, those are ALL YUDEN coded, but, i haven't personally seen any printables FUJI ones yet MIJ.

That is a strange request...are you Japanese or something and trying to help your local community?? I cant see any other reason for not purchasing Taiwanese manufactured media....

Movies27, I was just going to post a thread on my new find,but seeing as how it fits very well with yours.

Wal-mart, in my local area has the maxell +8x, full hub printables 25 pack spindles for $16.00. Best of all,these are made in JAPAN!!!!!!!

I haven't burned any yet,waiting for white noise and son of mask,but dvdinfopro ID'd them as Maxell-002. The same code on the japanese regular maxell +8x worked very good,and I hope these perform just as well. These are made by Hitachi.They also had the dash,full hubs for the same price. They too were made in japan,but I don't know the mfg ID. Maybe Mxl-rg03,may be my guess? Since maxell is going to full hub printables,maybe fuji will follow? I still can't get a hold of those japanese fujis,but I may be moving- reason follows in my last paragraph!

60 cents apiece is a lot cheaper than my 70 cents or so verbatim data life plus +8x,coded Mcc-003.

You'll love that burner. My wife just went psycho last week and threw my one month old r-200 on the floor. Boy was I po'd. I put it back together,inserted new cartridges from abacus and it works as good as it did before.The eject tray is broke on one side and tilts,but no biggie. I believe I have a wife to get rid of now, LOL

im very sorry to hear that your wife did that, ironically, i had a very similar situation last week with my own wife (but it wasn't my printer, it was a 100 pack spindle of my TYs that she threw at me like she was a ninja chuckin' throwing stars at me...it was like a scene right out of "Beverly Hills Ninja" hahahhaa)

but good find on the printable media...i don't have a walmart too close to me, it's quite a drive away but that is very decent in terms of pricing. i have an Epson R-300 myself, but, i don't use it very often since im more of a Sharpie guy myself~
