First of all, I have tried searching for an answer to my question but haven't really found one.

Anyway, I have zero modding experience and I want to get a chip I can install myself (on an older PS2) and that can run back-ups. I'm not interested in booting off of a HD. I've heard some people say the duos2se and also was recommended a ripper 3.2 (which I haven't even been able to find anywhere). Any help guiding me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
