If I use something like DVD Decryptor to copy DVDs to my hard drive, is there any way the rental places would know?

LOL

while i do not condone or agree with such a practice, technically, i guess you could do it if you wanted to~

don't get me wrong, i could care less about the movie industry and their stand on copyrighted material and the claim they make in "losing so much money due to pirated copies"...they rich enough already~ i just don't do illegal stuff personally, whether or not that means a darn thing to you or not, it's YOUR choice~ :)

yea, something like that..actually the fine is like $250,000-$500,000 but your guesstimate about the time in prison sounds about right :) might be longer, you just never know~

The Ultimate Security Feature:

They have dvds that will literally become useless after a few plays. That might make ripping very hard. Its like food, if its open it starts going bad.

Quote from NEA BBEGI from: http://www.ihateblockbuster.com/
Quote:
And the DVD with the Life After Late Fees material on it will not be viewable after about 48 hours of opening its packaging. Why the whole store must be present when it's time to view it... cause there ain't no going back to do it! The chemical workings of the DVD expires on itself and makes it unreadable.
And it begins.....

Common answer to ripping problems: Use DVD Decrypter first!
