Anyone know what bitrate I could use to fit a DVD larger that the 4 GIG capacity??? Is it true they have a 8.4GIG DVD-R now??

There are 3 kinds of DVD's that In know of.
DVD-5 which is the standard 4.38gb. Single side single layer.

DVD-9 7.95, single side - dual layered

DVD-10 8.75 Double side, single layer.

I don't know where to find the DVD-9 and 10 or if they're even available to the home user.
