I just burned a dvd from DIVX file after converting it using AVI2DVD. Anyways, the audio and the video do not run smoothly. Every couple of seconds there is a type of lag with the audio and video. It is hard to explain but the video and the audio run smoothly. It seems like there is a glitch after very couple of seconds. Watching the DVD makes me feel nauseous. What exactly is happening?

Sounds like it could be a media problem--what kind of disks are you using? Has this same operation worked for you before? Need more information--type of burner, system specs, is this from a downloaded file?

I am using Memorex DVD+R 4x. I have never had to convert DIVX to DVD before, but I have burned VCD's before without a problem. I have a Lite-On DVD RW LDW-851S, P4, 2.8 GHZ, 512 MB RAM, 150 GB. This was downloaded as a DIVX but the video quality or audio didnt have these glitches.

By the way (a separeate problem), I tried to play this DVD in players other than my computer and the DVD players said "incorrect disk" or it tried to load the disc, which was unsuccesful, for 5 minutes.

Please help...thanks

Try different media. That may not be all your problem but more than likely part of it if not all of it. Memorex sux and is the least recommended brand media there is. If you don't have problems with it now you will have. A majority of their media is made by CMC Magnetics which is, and I think most will agree, the worst media manufacturer there is. Memorex causes more playback problems than any other media I know of. Do a search about memorex media and read all the bad reviews.

I have a Lite-On DVD RW LDW-851S

I know you can set the Booktype for that Writer when you use + type media and burn with DVDDecrypter--That often helps playability in stand-alone's--

Set DVD Decrypter under Mode--to ISO-Write--Then go to Tools--3rd choice down is Drive--click it and a drop-down list--pick Change Booktype--then pick your drive and select media

If you have any problems useing DVD Decrypter to set booktype of +r/rw media to dvd-rom there is also a free official lite-on booktype utility you can use. Here's the link. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=83441 Check your disc after burning to verify booktyped dvd-rom with dvd identifier or dvdinfopro.
